Inter Milan technical director Marco Branca has announced that Brazilian defender Maicon is likely to leave the San Siro this summer but any deal will take time.
Full back Maicon has been linked with a move to Chelsea in recent weeks and looks likely to end a six-year spell in Italy.
Branca spoke to journalists after meeting with head coach Andrea Stramaccioni to plan for the new season.
"Is Maicon leaving? This will take a while, so we won't have any more news on this today," he said.
Branca also confirmed that Inter will meet with Palermo to discuss signing Argentine defender Matias Silvestre.
