Iraq beat Chile to win Group E

Iraq Under-20s beat their Chilean counterparts 2-1 to top Group E of the Under-20 World Cup.

Iraq have beaten Chile 2-1 in their Under-20 World Cup clash to go through as Group E winners.

The Iraqis got off to a great start and were ahead on 16 minutes when Kamil Mahdi finished from Mohamad Abdulraheem's setup.

Just 10 minutes later Chile were level, with Felipe Mora heading in a Hernandez Oscar Lopez corner.

The second half was an end-to-end battle and either side could have won to top the group, but it was Iraq who notched the winner 25 minutes from time.

Salif Salman was his country's hero and they will move on, along with Chile who finished second, into the round of 16.
