Liverpool's Daniel Sturridge: 'We won't change approach for Manchester United'

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge insists that he and his teammates will not change their approach when they take on Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge is hopeful that Sunday's battle against Manchester United will "take care of itself" as long as the team put their own stamp on the game.

The Reds will overtake their arch rivals into fourth place with a victory at Anfield as just two points currently separate the sides.

"Of course it's a rivalry, but it's another three points and we'll just approach the game as we always do - that's the most important thing," Sturridge told the club's official website. "It's going to be a big game for us. We're going into the game looking to win it, as we always do, and we're looking forward to it.

"We'll go into this game with the right mentality, we'll look to play our football and to try to go out there and win the game. That's the most important thing - to play our football. If we do that then hopefully everything will take care of itself."

Liverpool have lost just once in their last 17 Premier League games and that was against United when they suffered a 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford in December.
