Yaya Toure says that Man City stars should justify their large salaries and win the Premier League title.

Yaya Toure has said that it is time for Manchester City stars to justify their large salaries and win the Premier League title.

City are currently second in the table, three points off leaders Manchester United with just eight games to go.

"There are big expectations of us because we are now one of the biggest clubs in the world," Toure said. "We have spent a lot of money on players and we have a fantastic squad.

"Now we have to justify that and get the results we need to deliver the title.

"Because of the money everyone has been expecting us to succeed. That will be very tough now."

Manchester City host eighth-placed Sunderland at the Etihad on Saturday.
