Newcastle United have reportedly scouted former Cardiff City striker Andreas Cornelius.
The Dane joined the Bluebirds last summer for £8.5m, but he failed to settle with the Welsh club and returned to FC Copenhagen in January, where he has since rediscovered his goalscoring form.
That has alerted Newcastle boss Alan Pardew, who sent his chief scout Graham Carr to watch the 21-year-old in action during a recent Champions League encounter, according to Wales Online.
Cornelius has scored three Danish Superliga goals so far this season.
