League rise pleases Andre Villas-Boas

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas reveals his delight after seeing his side move up to fourth.

Andre Villas-Boas has expressed his happiness at the fact that his Tottenham Hotspur side have risen to fourth in the Premier League table.

Under current guidelines, clubs that finish within the league's top four qualify for the Champions League - which Villas-Boas has previously gone on record to say is his team's objective over the coming months.

Having spent a couple of weeks outside of that grouping, Spurs returned this afternoon thanks to a 1-0 home victory over Swansea City.

"It was very important and gets us back to fourth place. The table is tight but it was good to give something back to the fans at White Hart Lane," he told BBC Sport.

Next up for Spurs is a home encounter with Stoke City on Saturday.
