Barcelona B hold promotion favourites Sporting Gijon

Barcelona B hold Sporting Gijon to a bore draw in the Segunda Division.

Barcelona B have played out a 0-0 draw with promotion favourites Sporting Gijon in an uneventful Segunda Division match.

The result did little to dispel the feelings of negativity around Eusebio's side, who crashed to a disappointing defeat to Tenerife in their last outing.

Abelardo Fernandez's team may be unbeaten in the league, but they have not registered back-to-back wins since August, and their lack of bite up front against Barca B may have concerned their coach.

The result leaves Gijon in third place in the table, while Barcelona B sit in ninth.
