Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Liverpool could line up for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will be without the services of at least five players for Saturday's Premier League clash with Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

The Reds are sure to be working without Roberto Firmino, Virgil van Dijk, Diogo Jota, Arthur and Luis Diaz, but James Milner (hamstring) is closing in on a return.

In another attacking blow, Darwin Nunez has also picked up an unspecified problem which threatens his participation, with the Uruguayan missing from Thursday's training session.

With Van Dijk facing at least a month on the sidelines with a thigh issue, Ibrahima Konate and Joel Matip should pair up in front of Alisson Becker, whose mistake handed Wolverhampton Wanderers their opening goal in Saturday's FA Cup 2-2 draw.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson both started that fixture and are seemingly guaranteed to hold their spots here - the same can be said for Fabinho in the middle of the park.

Neither Jordan Henderson nor Thiago Alcantara have produced performances worth writing home about recently, but the pair should also retain their spots in the engine room, keeping Naby Keita and Harvey Elliott at bay.

A first-ever Premier League appearance is also set to come the way of Cody Gakpo, who lasted 84 minutes of his "good and sloppy" debut - by his own admission - against Wolves.

Should Nunez fail to make the cut, Gakpo's Premier League debut could come in the number nine spot, allowing Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to come back in on the left.
