A report suggests that Inter Milan could be prepared to go as high as £80m in their bid for Lille winger and Liverpool target Nicolas Pepe.

Inter Milan are allegedly planning to bid as much as £80m for Liverpool target Nicolas Pepe this summer.

The Lille winger has been a long-term target for the Reds following his fine form for the Ligue 1 side over the last two seasons, which has seen him rack up 37 goals in 79 appearances.

Inter are already thought to have offered £54m for the 24-year-old but, according to France Football, they are now prepared to go as high as £80m in order to land their man.

Meanwhile, Inside Futbol has claimed that both sides could face a new competitor in the form of Atletico Madrid, who are undergoing a mini-overhaul this summer due to the imminent departure of Antoine Griezmann.

Pepe has three years remaining on his current Lille contract.
