Rafinha: 'Paris Saint-Germain still bothered by Barcelona collapse'

Rafinha says that there are a number of people at Paris Saint-Germain who are still hurt by the club's 6-1 defeat at Barcelona in 2017.

Rafinha has acknowledged that there are a number of people at Paris Saint-Germain who are still affected by their dramatic defeat at Barcelona in 2017.

Despite holding a 4-0 advantage from the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie, PSG succumbed 6-1 in the reverse fixture with several of the goals being scored in the closing minutes.

Ahead of the teams renewing acquaintances on Tuesday, Rafinha has acknowledged that there are those behind the scenes at Parc des Princes who remain hurt by the manner of that defeat.

Speaking to Le Parisien, Rafinha said: "What club would not have suffered after that comeback?"

"We are lucky that now we have the opportunity to make up for that, to play a great game and to remove this thorn, which still bothers some here in Paris."

Rafinha represented Barcelona on that occasion, playing the opening 76 minutes of the fixture at Camp Nou.
