Sebastien Bassong has warned his former club Tottenham Hotspur that a top-four finish this season will be incredibly tough.

The Norwich City defender predicted that it will be difficult for Spurs to replicate last season's achievement due to the quality of the opposition.

"I think it is going to be really difficult for them because all the teams are really strong," Bassong told talkSPORT.

"For me there are at least seven teams that can get in the top four so year after year you have got to get better and better.

"On the small details you've got to be almost perfect just to get in the top four, I'm not talking about winning the Premier League. Just to reach the top four is going to be a tough battle."

Bassong joined Norwich from Spurs earlier this month in a deal worth £4m.
