Tottenham Hotspur are closing in on the signing of Fenerbahce midfielder Eljif Elmas, according to a report.
The 19-year-old has caught the eye of numerous European clubs over the past year, including Premier League champions Manchester City, and he is believed to have been put up for sale.
Fenerbahce need to balance their books to comply with Financial Fair Play rules, and Turkish outlet SuperHaber suggests that Tottenham are at the front of the queue to land his signature.
Spurs are supposedly prepared to pay £17m to sign the Macedonian youngster, who has played 34 times for Fener in all competitions this season.
Elmas is a holding midfielder by trade and has scored one goal in the Super Lig.
