Liverpool reportedly have no interest in Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon and are instead eyeing up a summer move for one of Leeds United's star forwards.
The Reds have recently been linked with a surprise move for former Everton man Gordon, who has excelled in his first full season at St James' Park, 18 months on from leaving the Toffees for a reported £45m.
Gordon, who was recently named Newcastle's Player of the Year, has recorded 11 goals and 10 assists in 35 Premier League appearances for the Magpies this season, netting his most recent strike in a 3-2 defeat at Manchester United on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old's club form was rewarded with his first senior international cap for England in March and he is now in contention to make Gareth Southgate's 26-man squad for Euro 2024.
It has also been claimed that Gordon has caught the eye of Liverpool, with a recent report stating that they have identified the Liverpudlian as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.

Liverpool eye up Summerville transfer
However, according to TEAMtalk, Liverpool do not have an interest in signing Gordon and are instead targeting Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville this summer.
The report adds that Chelsea held a 'genuine interest' in the 22-year-old last summer, while both Newcastle and Aston Villa have also been keeping tabs on the Whites star.
Summerville is also said to be 'really appreciated' by scouts of Liverpool and the Dutchman has been added to a list of potential targets by compatriot Arne Slot, who is expected to succeed Jurgen Klopp in the Anfield dugout this summer.
It is understood that Leeds value Summerville, who has two years remaining on his contract at Elland Road, between £30m and £40m, but they hope that their current valuation of the player will fend off potential suitors.

Summerville a standout performer in the Championship
Summerville made his breakthrough at Leeds when they were competing in the Premier League last season and he made his senior debut for the club in October 2022.
The youngster went on to play 28 times in the top flight, chipping in with four goals and two assists as Leeds were eventually relegated to the Championship, but he has since elevated his game to new heights in the second tier.
Indeed, Summerville was recently named Championship Player of the Season having enjoyed an excellent campaign for Daniel Farke's promotion-chasers, scoring 20 and registering 10 assists in 45 league appearances.
Summerville assisted Leeds' third goal before scoring their fourth in a thumping 4-0 home win over Norwich City on Thursday night to progress to the Championship playoff final.
TEAMtalk claims that even if Leeds fail to secure promotion to the Premier League this season, Summerville will not look to force the club's hand by requesting to leave in the summer transfer window.
