William Saliba 'still sees future at Arsenal'

William Saliba wants to come back to Arsenal and challenge for a spot in Mikel Arteta's team once his loan spell at Nice finishes, according to a report.

William Saliba is supposedly keen to stay and make a name for himself at Arsenal once his loan spell at Nice comes to an end.

Les Aiglons manager Adrian Ursea confirmed on Monday that the 19-year-old was undergoing a medical ahead of a temporary return to Ligue 1 until the end of the season.

Saliba is set to return to his native France after being frozen out of the Arsenal team under Mikel Arteta, with his only taste of action coming for the Under-23s team this season.

Despite his troubling start to life in red and white, football.london claims that Saliba is determined to come back stronger and challenge for a spot in Arteta's starting lineup next season.

The Gunners are reportedly set to fork out the majority of Saliba's salary while he plies his trade at the Allianz Riviera, and the deal does not include an option to buy.

Nice are currently 12th in the Ligue 1 table and lost club captain Dante to an ACL injury back in October.
