Half-Time Report: Bayern Munich fall behind again but go in level

Bayern Munich go behind again but equalise before the break against Hoffenheim.

A goal from young centre-back Niklas Sule was cancelled out by Mario Mandzukic as Hoffenheim went in level at the break against reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.

There were very few chances in the opening 15 minutes and Philipp Lahm came closest with a low drive from an angle that was stopped by Koen Casteels.

Bayern started to control the game and both Mandzukic and Thomas Muller came close but their respective efforts went wide.

Hoffenheim won a rare corner and took full advantage as Sule stabbed in from close range, Bayern concededing first for the third league game running.

However, they were back level inside five minutes as Franck Ribery found Mandzukic, who finished low from inside the box.
