Didier Drogba relishing Wembley return

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba is relishing his return to Wembley as he looks to add to his impressive goalscoring record at the stadium.

Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has revealed that he is fulfilling a childhood dream every time he plays at Wembley.

The Ivory Coast international could make his eighth appearance at the stadium when Chelsea face Liverpool in the FA Cup final later today and, having scored in each of the previous seven, Drogba is relishing his return to what he believes is the most famous stadium in the world.

"My dream was to play at the old Wembley, where I saw all those big games. From Chelsea, when Eric Cantona - one of my favourite players - scored that goal [against Liverpool] there. So that was my dream. But I'm quite happy with the new one," Drogba said.

"I haven't been to the Maracana, but Wembley is, for me, the most famous one. We've had some good results there. We won, I think, all our FA Cup finals there, so it's a good stadium for us. Maybe it's our lucky stadium.

"I feel comfortable on this pitch. When I decided I wanted to play football when I was young, I wanted to play in big stadiums like this."

Drogba has already netted the winning goal in two FA Cup finals, in 2007 and 2010, and also scored the last time Chelsea and Liverpool met in a major domestic cup final back in 2005.
