Manchester United have reportedly been in touch with Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel over a move to Old Trafford at the end of the 2021-22 campaign.
The Red Devils are currently in the process of appointing a new head coach, with Ajax's Erik ten Hag believed to be the favourite for the role, while Paris Saint-Germain's Mauricio Pochettino is also in the running.
However, Tuchel has been linked with the position due to Chelsea's off-the-field issues, which could potentially lead to the German seeking pastures new this summer.
According to German journalist Christian Falk, Man United remain interested in the 48-year-old and have been in contact with him to discuss a switch to Manchester.
However, Falk claims that Tuchel would be keen to remain at Stamford Bridge if he can continue to work under the same conditions when the new owner arrives.
The German only arrived at Chelsea in January 2021 but has already won the Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup since his move to London.
Tuchel, who has a deal with the Blues is due to run until June 2024, is bidding to lead his side into the semi-finals of this season's Champions League at Real Madrid's expense.
