Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are reportedly set to battle for the signature of Monaco's highly-rated midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.
The 22-year-old, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Europe, has been a key player for the Ligue 1 outfit this season, scoring three times and providing two assists in 42 appearances across all competitions.
Tchouameni's impressive performances for club and country are believed to have caught the eye of a number of top European clubs ahead of this summer's transfer window, with PSG and Real among the teams keeping tabs on his progress.
With Monaco at risk of failing to qualify for Europe next season, the France international is widely expected to leave the club this summer, and according to Marca, the midfielder will decide whether he wishes to stay in his native France by joining PSG or to test himself abroad in Spain with Los Blancos.
The report adds that a potential move for Tchouameni to the Premier League is unlikely, as Chelsea's current ownership predicament has cast doubts over their transfer dealings, while Manchester City do not regard him as a primary target, as they continue to pursue a new centre-forward.
Tchouameni, who has also been linked with Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona, is believed to be valued at around €50m (£42m) by Monaco, and is under contract until June 2024.
