Paris Saint-Germain are yet to decide whether to open contract talks with Neymar, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly yet to decide whether to open talks with Neymar over a new deal.

The 27-year-old was strongly linked with a return to Barcelona during the summer transfer window but was ultimately left frustrated as the two clubs could not agree a deal.

The Brazil international - currently on the sidelines with a hamstring problem - has since managed four goals in five appearances for the French champions this term.

Neymar's long-term future in Paris is far from secure, though, as his current deal with the capital giants will have just two years left to run at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.

According to AS, PSG are considering the possibility of offering the attacker a contract until the summer of 2025, but talks are on hold for the moment due to the precarious situation.

Manchester United and Real Madrid were also linked with the former Santos youngster over the summer, but the former are believed to have turned down a move due to concerns over his off-the-field antics.
