Crystal Palace captain Luka Milivojevic has been dropped from the Serbia squad following his criticism of head coach Mladen Krstajic.
The 27-year-old midfielder had told local media that Krstajic's judgement was to blame for the group-stage defeats by Brazil and Switzerland at the 2018 World Cup.
"The game against Brazil, our manager had his opinion, something he wanted to try, and in the end we lost, so that was a bad choice," Milivojevic, who was an unused substitute in that defeat, told reporters.
"I think we should have been more experienced and played for a result in the last 15 minutes [against Switzerland], we tried to take risks where in my opinion we did not have to."
The Serbian FA published a list of its 23-man squad on Wednesday, with goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic and defenders Branislav Ivanovic and Dusko Tosic also missing out on a place.
Serbia visit Lithuania on September 7 and are at home to Romania three days later in the Nations League's third-tier Group 4.
