Scottish L1 roundup: Stranraer go top
Sports Mole rounds up Saturday's Scottish League One action as Stranraer go top of the table with a 3-2 win over Stenhousemuir.

Stranraer leapfrogged Forfar Athletic to top the Scottish League One table after beating Stenhousemuir 3-2 this afternoon.

William Gibson and Sean Winter grabbed first-half goals, with Craig Pettigrew adding a third after the break for Stranraer, who have now won six home games in a row.

Martin Grehan and Ciaran Summers scored to move Stenhousemuir within one, but Stranraer held on.

Forfar Athletic slipped to third after falling 1-0 away to Peterhead this afternoon.

Jamie Redman scored the game's only goal for the home side to send them into sixth place.

Greenock Morton moved into second after winning 2-0 away at Stirling Albion thanks to Jamie McCluskey and Declan McManus, who scored his eighth goal in 10 games.

Alan Trouten's double secured all three points for Brechin City courtesy of a 3-0 victory Dunfermline Athletic.

Ross Millen was sent off for Dunfermline, seeing red for violent conduct after 13 minutes, while Andy Jackson grabbed Brechin's third in the second half.

Elsewhere, Robert McHugh's late double gave Airdrieonians a 2-0 win over Ayr United.
