Everton have reportedly set their sights on a bid for Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales.
The 22-year-old Spaniard is not thought to be part of Juan Antonio Pizzi's long-term plans at the Mestalla and could be allowed to leave during the current transfer window.
According to The Mirror, Real Betis, Real Sociedad and Malaga are all vying for his signature, but neither team are believed to interest the former Real Madrid player.
Los Che will let him leave on a loan deal with the option of a £4m sale in the summer.
Canales has made 19 appearances in La Liga this season, 12 of them being from the bench.
