West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez is reportedly closing in on a loan return to La Liga with Valencia.

West Ham United striker Javier Hernandez has reportedly been given the green light to begin discussing personal terms over a return to La Liga with Valencia.

The Mexico international is said to have been eyed up by Los Che as a direct replacement for Michy Batshuayi, who is expected to return to parent club Chelsea in January.

Hernandez has been used more regularly in December by Manuel Pellegrini, but the 30-year-old has missed the Hammers' last two matches through injury and is believed to have been told that he can move on next month.

Marca suggests that Valencia and West Ham have yet to reach an agreement, however, with the Spanish side keen to bring the striker in on an initial loan deal.

Former Manchester United ace Hernandez, who spent a season on loan with Real Madrid earlier in his career, has four Premier League goals in total this term.
