Quique Flores "open" to Leeds United job following Watford exit

Quique Flores refuses to rule out joining Leeds United after announcing that he will leave Watford at the end of the season.

Quique Flores has admitted that he is "open" to taking on the managerial job at Leeds United after he leaves Watford at the end of the season.

It was confirmed by the Hornets this morning that the Spaniard will leave after Sunday's final match of the season at home to Sunderland.

Flores comfortably guided the team to safety in the club's first season back in the Premier League following last summer's promotion, but both parties have opted to part ways.

The 51-year-old is believed to have attracted the attention of Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, despite Steve Evans still being in the job at Elland Road.

Flores has not ruled out joining Leeds, but he has also expressed a desire to stay in the top flight.

"Everything is possible," Flores told reporters in Friday's press conference. "I'm open to anything. I love the Premier League - I love my relationship with the fans, the organisation and the media."

Watford have won 12 of their 37 league games this season.
