Real Madrid have set their sights on signing Robert Lewandowski as an alternative to Erling Braut Haaland, according to a report.
Haaland has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu, as his €75m (£64.39m) release clause at Borussia Dortmund is set to become active in the next 12 months.
However, Madrid face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for his signature, with the French side targeting Haaland to replace Kylian Mbappe if he makes the move to the Spanish capital.
AS states that if Carlo Ancelotti is not able to bring in the Norwegian striker, he will turn his attentions to Lewandowski, who is 12 years Haaland's senior.
The report adds that Lewandowski could ask to leave Bayern Munich next summer, with his contract set to expire in 2023.
The Polish striker, who has scored 301 goals in 333 games for Bayern, was linked with a move to PSG in the summer transfer window.
