Paris Saint-Germain 'considering Neymar sale to fund new Kylian Mbappe deal'

Paris Saint-Germain are considering the sale of Neymar if it means being able to fund a new deal for Kylian Mbappe, according to a report.

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly exploring the possibility of selling Neymar in order to be able to fund a new deal for fellow attacker Kylian Mbappe.

The Parisiens' sporting director Leonardo recently revealed that contract talks are underway with their star attackers, who will both see their current deals expire in 2022.

However, not even PSG are immune to the financial effects of the coronavirus pandemic, and bumper new contracts for both Mbappe and Neymar may prove too costly for the Ligue 1 champions in the current financial climate.

According to L'Equipe, PSG view Mbappe as more of a priority and are willing to ship out Neymar if it means keeping Mbappe on the books at the Parc des Princes.

The report claims that Neymar is still undecided on his future, but PSG are aware that Real Madrid will be ready to swoop for Mbappe if they are unable to tie the World Cup-winning Frenchman down to a new deal.

Mbappe and Neymar are both expected to start PSG's Champions League showdown with RB Leipzig on Tuesday evening, and the former notched up a brace in a 3-2 loss to Monaco on Friday.
