Manchester United have confirmed that Jadon Sancho trained with the club on Friday, with the attacker allegedly holding a positive discussion with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag earlier this week.
Sancho has not featured for the 20-time English champions since last August, and he spent the second half of the 2023-24 campaign back on loan at Borussia Dortmund after the breakdown of his relationship with Ten Hag.
After leaving Sancho out of the squad against Arsenal in the early stages of last season, Ten Hag said that poor performances on the training ground had led to the 24-year-old being overlooked.
The former Manchester City youngster took to social media to insist that was not the case, and having effectively branded his manager a liar and then refused to apologise, he was removed from the first-team picture at Old Trafford.
At that stage, it is believed that an apology from Sancho would have seen him return to the first-team set-up, but that was not forthcoming, and he returned to Dortmund on loan in January.

Sancho returns to Man United training
Sancho did not train with Man United on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, and it had been suggested that he was on the verge of leaving the club, with Juventus thought to be interested.
However, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Sancho had a positive face-to-face meeting with Ten Hag this week, and both have now agreed to move on from the situation.
As a result, the Englishman is set to be available for the upcoming pre-season matches, although he is not expected to be involved against Rosenborg on Monday.
According to journalist Samuel Luckhurst, it is unclear at this stage whether Sancho issued an apology for his comments last year, or whether both have simply agreed to move past the situation.

Is Sancho now staying at Man United?
Sancho's future is expected to remain the subject of speculation, and it is certainly still possible that he will be leaving the Red Devils before the end of the transfer window.
The forward has found it difficult to make his mark for Man United since arriving from Dortmund in the summer of 2021, only managing 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances.
Sancho helped Dortmund reach last season's Champions League final upon his return to the club, though, and he has 53 goals and 67 assists across two spells with the German outfit.
Juventus continue to be linked with the forward, and there is also said to be interest from Turkey, but Sancho could potentially be given the chance to reignite his Red Devils career during the 2024-25 campaign.
