Riccardo Montolivo believes that AC Milan's win against Chievo on Saturday could be the springboard for their success this season.

AC Milan midfielder Riccardo Montolivo believes that his side's performance against Chievo in Serie A on Saturday was their best so far this season.

The 27-year-old himself scored against the Flying Donkeys at San Siro, as the Rossoneri won 5-1.

When asked if the win was Milan's best performance of the season, he told Tuttosport: "Yes, I think so, along with the derby and the last part of the Palermo match.

"We are growing, we picked up seven points in the last three games, and it could have been nine. So we have to be confident for the Champions League."

Milan are currently 10th in the Serie A table with 14 points from 11 matches.
