Arsene Wenger confirms Aaron Ramsey injury

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirms that Aaron Ramsey suffered an injury during his side's 3-1 win at West Ham United on Boxing Day.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Aaron Ramsey suffered an injury during today's 3-1 win at West Ham United.

The Welsh midfielder completed the full 90 minutes at Upton Park, despite picking up a knock, which Wenger claims will see him miss Sunday's trip to Newcastle United.

Wenger told BBC Sport: "I don't know how bad it is, but, for sure, the Christmas period he will be out."

Ramsey, who has scored 15 goals in 31 appearances for club and country this season, could also miss the Gunners' Premier League clash with Cardiff City on New Year's Day.
