Samir Nasri brands Arsenal supporters 'disrespectful' following chants at St James' Park.

Samir Nasri has branded Arsenal supporters 'disrespectful' after he was made the subject of abusive chants during the weekend's match at Newcastle United.

The Frenchman played no part in the 0-0 draw at St James' Park but it didn't stop a number of Gunners' fans chanting about the player's loyalty to the club.

"I heard what the fans were singing about me on Saturday and it is really disrespectful because I'm still a (sic) Arsenal player," Nasri said on his Twitter account.

The 24-year-old has one-year remaining on his Arsenal contract and has so far refused to sign an extension.

Recent reports have suggested that the midfielder is keen on a move to Manchester City but manager Arsene Wenger believes that he could stay at Arsenal.
