Blackburn Rovers boss Steve Kean believes that his side can beat Liverpool in the Premier League on Tuesday.

Rovers have dropped back into the relegation zone after three straight defeats, but Kean has insisted that now is the perfect time to face the Reds with their FA Cup distractions.

"There is no reason why we can't go out and beat Liverpool. We've done it before last year. We played very well. Liverpool will have an eye on the FA Cup so us playing them now is a good time," Kean told Sky Sports News.

"It will be difficult for them not to think about the semi-final, so we will try to use that to our advantage."

Liverpool have won just one of their last five visits to Ewood Park.
