Chelsea's Radamel Falcao to miss Champions League visit of Maccabi Tel Aviv

Chelsea will be without Colombian striker Radamel Falcao for their opening Champions League Group G fixture against Maccabi Tel Aviv on Wednesday.

Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao has been ruled out of the Blues' opening Champions League match of the season with a minor knock.

The Colombian striker will sit out tomorrow's visit of Maccabi Tel Aviv in Group G, but is expected to miss just one game and should return against Arsenal in the Premier League Saturday lunchtime.

One boost for under-pressure Jose Mourinho is the return of Brazilian playmaker Oscar, who hasn't played since the opening day of the season over a month ago because of a knee injury.

Defending Premier League champions Chelsea are yet to win at home this season and have won just one of their five Premier League matches to lie 17th in the table, 11 points behind red-hot Manchester City.
