Chelsea will reportedly open talks with N'Golo Kante over a potential new contract 'in the coming months'.
The 30-year-old's future at Stamford Bridge was called into question last summer, but he ultimately remained with the Blues and enjoyed another strong campaign, making 48 outings in all competitions in 2020-21.
Kante only has two years left to run on his current deal with Thomas Tuchel's side, but according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, the European Cup holders are planning to open contract discussions with the World Cup winner in the next few months.
Romano claims that there were two offers for the France international during last summer's transfer window, but he wanted to remain with the London club.
As a result, Chelsea are now keen to 'reward' the two-time Premier League winner, who is currently representing his country at this summer's European Championship.
Kante has made 218 appearances for the Blues since arriving from Leicester City in 2016.
