Ipswich Town loan Josh Yorwerth to Crawley Town

Welsh defender Josh Yorwerth leaves Ipswich Town to join Crawley Town two divisions below on a one-month loan.

League Two side Crawley Town have signed Josh Yorwerth on a month-long loan from Ipswich Town.

The 20-year-old, who joined Ipswich from Cardiff City over the summer, is yet to feature for Ipswich in the Championship, but played every minute of the Blues' League Cup run, which ended last Wednesday against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

"Josh is highly regarded by Ipswich and we're delighted Mick McCarthy has allowed us to have him for a month," Crawley boss Mark Yates told the club website.

"We have a few defenders out with injury at the moment but Josh is going to be an excellent addition to the squad."

Yorwerth will wear the number 25 for Crawley and could feature in tonight's bottom-of-the-table clash against Newport County.
