Adrien Rabiot's mother has claimed that the midfielder will not return to Juventus amid links with Manchester United and Arsenal.
The 29-year-old has been on the free agent market since leaving Juventus upon the expiry of his contract at the end of June.
He reportedly decided to turn down a new deal with Juventus in favour of exploring fresh opportunities away from the Italian giants.
Although he has been linked with several clubs, Rabiot remains a free agent over two months on from his Juventus departure.
Rabiot is reluctant to complete a move to the Saudi Pro League, while he is not particularly interested in a move to Newcastle United.

Rabiot's mother provides transfer update
Arsenal and Man United are believed to be among Rabiot's potential suitors, but his wage demands are proving to be a stumbling block.
With Rabiot still searching for a new club, there has been a suggestion that Rabiot could perform a U-turn and sign a new deal with Juventus.
However, the player's agent and mother, Veronique Rabiot, has ruled out the possibility of a return to the Allianz Stadium.
Veronique Rabiot told reporters: "There is no need to close the door, returning to Juventus was not an option considered. When we make decisions, we take responsibility for them."

What now for Rabiot?
If his wage demands are proving to be an issue, Rabiot may have to make a compromise if he wants to play for a top European club.
The player's admirers will be slightly concerned by the fact that he will be lacking in match fitness due to his ongoing search for a new club.
However, Rabiot is still in the prime of his career and would bring valuable experience to any of his potential suitors.
Rabiot played over 200 matches for both Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus, including 60 appearances in the Champions League.
The midfielder has also made 48 appearances for his country, but France boss Didier Deschamps has made it clear that he will not be eligible for selection until he finds a new club.
