Norwich City boss Chris Hughton has heaped praise upon Wes Hoolahan after the playmaker signed a new contract with the Canaries.
Hoolahan celebrated his new deal with a man-of-the-match display for his side, scoring one and setting up another in Norwich's 2-1 win over Wigan Athletic this afternoon.
Hoolahan's goal was a rare header from the 5'6" midfielder, and Hughton had nothing but good words to say about the 30-year-old after the match.
"Fortunately for us Wes has signed a new deal and he has earned it, and not just for this season," said Hughton.
"He was excellent today and to see Wes get a headed goal was worth the entrance fee alone.
"Wes capped off a really good all-round team performance."
The win extended Norwich's unbeaten run in the league to 10 matches, a streak that has seen them rise to seventh in the table.
