Sunday's Ligue 1 predictions including Lyon vs. Paris Saint-Germain

Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Sunday's Ligue 1 fixtures, including Lyon vs. Paris Saint-Germain.

Strasbourg vs. Lens (Sunday, 12.00pm)

Lens face Strasbourg on Sunday afternoon eager to keep pace with fifth-placed Marseille in the race for the final Europa League spot.

Meanwhile, Strasbourg begin the weekend sitting six points clear of the Ligue 1 relegation zone after an improved run of form in recent weeks.

We say: Strasbourg 1-2 Lens

Despite their narrow setback last weekend, Strasbourg will be confident of earning at least a share of the spoils. Nevertheless, we cannot back against the visitors, who will not need encouragement to push for all three points as they continue their quest for an unlikely European place.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or an away win.

Dijon vs. Reims (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Dijon play host to Reims on Sunday afternoon sitting 13 points adrift of safety, realistically leaving the home side requiring all three points if they are to remain with a chance of avoiding relegation from Ligue 1.

Meanwhile, a five-match unbeaten streak has helped Reims move eight points clear of the bottom three with nine games left of the season.

We say: Dijon 0-2 Reims

Almost at the point of no return, Dijon will go on the offensive on Sunday afternoon. However, that will only play into the favour of their opponents, who we feel will make relatively light work of their struggling hosts.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.

Brest vs. Angers (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Angers take on Brest in Ligue 1 on Sunday afternoon knowing that only three points will do if they want to remain in the race for European qualification.

Already sitting seven points clear of the relegation zone, Brest head into this contest aware that victory could take them to the brink of safety.

We say: Brest 1-2 Angers

With just 10 draws between them all season, we feel that a share of the spoils is an unlikely result this weekend. With that in mind and Angers having little to lose by pushing for a maximum return, the visitors could edge this contest by the odd goal in three.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Montpellier vs. Bordeaux (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Having finally managed to claim a long-awaited three points in Ligue 1, Bordeaux will aim to keep the momentum going when they take on Montpellier HSC at the Stade de la Mosson on Sunday.

That will be easier said than done, however, as the hosts go into the bout hoping to extend their unbeaten run across all competitions to 10 matches.

We say: Montpellier HSC 2-1 Bordeaux

Claiming three points against Dijon is not exactly something to celebrate heavily, but any win for Bordeaux in their current form is a huge boost for Gasset's charges. However, Montpellier are proving themselves as incredibly difficult to beat and will view this game as an ideal opportunity to return to winning ways, so we can only back a home triumph in this match.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Nantes vs. Lorient (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Nantes take on Lorient in Ligue 1 on Sunday in a potentially pivotal clash at the bottom of the table.

Seventeenth-placed Lorient currently sit one point above Nantes, meaning that the hosts can jump outside of the relegation zone with a victory.

We say: Nantes 2-1 Lorient

Nantes should have taken huge confidence from their surprise win against the reigning champions, and we can envisage them jumping out of the relegation zone with a victory on Sunday.

They appear to have a little more firepower than Lorient at present, with Pelissier's side struggling to create clear-cut chances in recent weeks despite performing reasonably well on the whole.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a home win or draw.

Lille vs. Nimes (Sunday, 4.05pm)

Lille coach Christophe Galtier pictured on February 14, 2021© Reuters

Lille will aspire to maintain their position at the top of the Ligue 1 rankings when they welcome a lowly Nimes to the Stade Pierre-Mauroy on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors' last game saw them draw 1-1 with Montpellier HSC, while Lille head into the match after being dumped out of the Coupe de France by Paris Saint-Germain.

We say: Lille 2-0 Nimes

Nimes have demonstrated that they are no pushovers under Plancque, but attempting to get one over the league leaders is surely too much of an ask for the 19th-placed Crocodiles. With Galtier potentially having everyone fit and available for this tie, there is hardly a better opportunity for Lille to right the wrongs of their midweek cup defeat, and a routine win for Les Dogues is the only outcome that we can see.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Lyon vs. PSG (Sunday, 8.00pm)

Second meets third in a truly tantalising battle at the top of the Ligue 1 table this weekend as Lyon welcome reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain to the Groupama Stadium.

The two giants of the French game both sit three points behind Lille in the title race, and the result of this game could go a long way in determining who will be lifting the trophy aloft come the end of the season.

We say: Lyon 1-1 Paris Saint-Germain

PSG's record against the title-chasing teams this season does not make for good reading for their supporters, and while their cup result in midweek was certainly a positive one, they have had little time to recuperate for this battle. Lyon have not exactly been as consistent as they would have liked either, but a fully-fit squad boosts the hosts' chances of getting something from this game, and we expect the two title rivals to walk away with a share of the spoils - a result which would do Lille the world of good.

Our tipster partners are predicting a double chance bet on a draw or an away win.
