Djibril Cisse: 'There is no racism in English football'

Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse says that he has yet to face any racial abuse in England, but admits that racism in football is an ongoing problem.

Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse has said that he has not faced any kind of racial abuse in England.

The French striker joined QPR from Italian club Lazio in January 2012, having already played in the Premier League with Liverpool and Sunderland.

"It is still going on in football, but in other countries," the 31-year-old is quoted as saying in The Sun.

"In England I have never experienced it. People here realise it's something that should not happen, inside or outside football, and that's a good thing."

Cisse has played for Auxerre and Marseille in France, and Panathinaikos in Greece.
