Isco: "We couldn't do anything more"

Isco insists that Real Madrid could not have done "anything more" during their 2-2 draw with Valencia.

Isco has bemoaned Real Madrid's "bad luck" during their 2-2 draw with Valencia on Saturday evening.

The hosts hit the woodwork three times at the Bernabeu, while Cristiano Ronaldo also had a first-half penalty saved by Diego Alves.

It is a result that has all but handed the La Liga title to rivals Barcelona, but playmaker Isco has insisted that Los Blancos could not have done "anything more".

"We couldn't do anything more. Hitting the woodwork three times, a missed penalty [and] the team's attitude in the second half," the 23-year-old told the club's official website.

"What happened to us today does not happen often in football. We had quite a lot of bad luck but Madrid had to fight until the end."

Madrid are now five points adrift of Barca with two matches left to play this season.
