Peter Odemwingie hopeful of league progression

Peter Odemwingie hopes that he can look back on a positive season for West Brom.

Peter Odemwingie believes that he can play a part in forcing West Bromwich Albion up the Premier League table, but concedes that the season can be unpredictable.

Roy Hodgson's side sit 13th in the table, five points clear of the relegation zone.

"Things could have got worse if we hadn't picked up points there," the Daily Star quotes Odemwingie as saying.

"But at the end, when the stress of the season is over and I've got the goals and West Brom have stayed up, I will be like, 'Phew, some periods were really tough and there were a few sleepless nights'. You only have to win a couple of games and you can soon shoot up the table."

The Nigeria striker suffered an injury-plagued start to the season.
