Arsene Wenger urges Arsenal focus

Arsene Wenger wants Arsenal to focus on their Premier League campaign after progressing from the group stages of the Champions League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged his side to focus on their domestic campaign after qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

The Gunners lost 2-1 at Olympiacos on Tuesday night but had already qualified going into the game.

The Londoners won't compete in Europe again until the New Year, and Wenger is hoping that his side can use the break to improve their form in the Premier League.

"Let's see [what happens in the draw], but for now it is important for us to focus on the [domestic] championship, forget about the Champions League a little bit and get ourselves back in decent form in the championship," said Wenger.

"It is a good opportunity for us to keep focused, to show strength and unity, that is what you want to do in the next game."

Arsenal host West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
