Thierry Henry: Becoming Arsenal manager "would be a dream"

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry admits that he "could not say 'no'" to his former club should they one day ask him to become manager.

Thierry Henry has revealed that he would love to one day take over from Arsene Wenger and become manager of former club Arsenal.

The Gunners legend has been earmarked as a potential successor to his countryman, who has come under increasing pressure once more this week following a shock 3-1 home defeat against Monaco in the Champions League.

Henry is currently working as a pundit for Sky Sports, although pushed on whether he could move into management one day, Henry admitted that returning to the Emirates Stadium in a coaching position is certainly in his future plans.

"I don't know what Arsene wants to do and how long he wants to stay," Henry told ITV Sport. "But I just want to be equipped - to be in the position, maybe one day to be a manager.

"Being the manager of Arsenal FC would be a dream. I need to learn first. That is the most important thing. I could not say 'no' to Arsenal. So I would say 'yes'. It should be great."

Henry, who spent eight trophy-laden years in North London, retired from football last December following a stint with New York Red Bulls in Major League Soccer.
