Arturo Vidal has no regrets over Bayern Munich snub

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal insists that he was right to turn down Bayern Munich two years ago in favour of the Old Lady.

Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has revealed that he turned down the advances of Bayern Munich two years ago, while admitting that he has rejected numerous offers to leave Turin.

Vidal has become a key component of Juve's success in recent seasons, helping Antonio Conte's side win successive Serie A titles.

The Chilean international came close to picking Bayern when he left Bayer Leverkusen in 2011, but is adamant that his decision to join the Old Lady instead has been vindicated.

He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I have never regretted the decision to not join Bayern because I'm convinced that Juve will soon be able to win the Champions League.

"I joined a great club, with very strong teammates and an exceptional coach. Antonio Conte has enhanced my qualities and has got me to see football in a different way, a much more professional way. The coach is obsessed by a culture of work.

"I have received offers from other teams, but my family always plays a decisive role in the decisions I make. I see that my wife and my son are very happy in Turin. And then the value of Juventus is enormous."

The 26-year-old scored a brace in his last game for the Old Lady, helping Conte's men maintain their 100% start in Serie with a 4-1 win over Lazio before the international break.
