Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly close to signing Luton Town right-back James Justin for £1.5m.

Brighton & Hove Albion are reportedly close to signing Luton Town right-back James Justin for £1.5m.

The Sun reports that Seagulls boss Chris Hughton, who has been monitoring the 20-year-old's progress in League Two, is ready to snap up the youngster.

Should Brighton secure the right-back, the newspaper adds that Hughton could loan James back to Luton to ensure that the defender earns regular playing time.

James, who was a regular in the Hatters squad that reached the League Two playoffs last season, has since alerted Championship clubs to his services.

The 20-year-old recovered from an ankle injury suffered in the summer to return to his impressive form this term.
