Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte says that Cesc Fabregas could be the only senior midfielder to make the squad for the Premier League fixture with Watford.

Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has suggested that he will give David Luiz and Tiemoue Bakayoko as much time as possible to recover for the Premier League clash with Watford.

Both players sustained injuries during Wednesday's 3-3 draw with Roma in the Champions League, and reports have indicated that the pair will be missing from the game at Stamford Bridge.

Conte has remained coy over his team selection, but admitted that Cesc Fabregas is currently the only guaranteed starter on Saturday afternoon.

The 48-year-old told reporters: "At the moment I can tell you nothing about the starting XI for tomorrow.

"I hope in this 24 hours we will try to recover some players. Cesc Fabregas may be the only fit senior midfielder available."

N'Golo Kante will also be absent as the Frenchman continues his recovery from a hamstring injury.
