Lazio preparing offer for Sunderland forward Fabio Borini?

Lazio are reportedly preparing an offer for Sunderland forward Fabio Borini, who will be allowed to leave the Stadium of Light this summer.

Sunderland forward Fabio Borini has reportedly attracted interest from Lazio.

The Black Cats' relegation to the Championship has left Borini in a position where he is likely to be free to leave the Stadium of Light in order to cut the club's wage bill.

It has already been reported that AC Milan may move for the 26-year-old, but according to the Daily Mail, Lazio are preparing a bid for his services.

Sunderland are said to be keen on a permanent deal, but it has been claimed that Lazio want to pay a loan fee before pushing through a £4m transfer next summer.

Borini already has experience of playing in Italy's capital, having scored nine goals in 24 outings for Roma during the 2011-12 season.

During the most recent campaign, he only managed two goals from 24 matches in the Premier League.
