Liverpool are close to making an £8m bid for Real Madrid midfielder Esteban Granero.
The 24-year-old has been pushed out to the fringes of the Madrid first team this season under manager Jose Mourinho.
The former Spain Under-21 international is thought to be open to a move to England, according to Caughtoffside.com.
Granero's adaptability across the midfield is believed to be of interest to Reds manager Kenny Dalglish after disappointing performances from summer signings Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson.
