Kick It Out chairman Lord Ouseley believes that the referee officiating yesterday's Champions League clash between Manchester City and CSKA Moscow should be dropped.
Ovidiu Hategan was alerted during City's 2-1 victory to alleged monkey chanting from CSKA fans by City midfielder Yaya Toure, who has called for UEFA to take action against racism in football.
"The referee should not be refereeing again," Ouseley told BBC Radio 5 live. "He failed to do his duty last night and that is a clear issue that UEFA should be dealing with."
CSKA are said to have brushed off the accusations, claiming that their supporters did not direct monkey chants towards Toure.
