Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has claimed that Mario Balotelli is the best striker in Italy.
National coach Cesare Prandelli, who left the controversial forward out of his squad for Wednesday's defeat to the USA, said that Balotelli needs to improve his conduct both on and off the pitch.
However, Mancini believes that the 22-year-old has to go to Euro 2012.
"Mario is the best striker in Italy, 100%," he said. "There is not another one like him. So I don't think Prandelli can leave him at home."
Balotelli has scored 10 goals in 16 Premier League games for City this season.
