Sir Bobby Charlton has insisted that Sir Alex Ferguson will keep out of the new Manchester United manager's way.
The Scotsman announced yesterday that it is the "right time" to end his illustrious 26-year career at Old Trafford when the season comes to a close.
With Everton boss David Moyes the favourite to be named as Ferguson's successor, Charlton has insisted that the 71-year-old will not try to interfere when he becomes a director and ambassador of the club.
"Alex Ferguson doesn't work like that," The Express quotes Charlton as saying. "He won't interfere. He is famed for his decision making and this will be just another decision."
Ferguson ends his tenure at Old Trafford with 38 trophies under his belt.
